Info:Long an American icon, the current Corvette is also a world class, high-performance sports car. For the 2008 model year, a new LS3 6.2-liter V8 gives the Corvette an extra 30 horsepower and 24 lb-ft of torque. With the new mill cranking out 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque, you might assume a car with so much power would provide dismal fuel economy. You can't expect the gas mileage of a Toyota Corolla, but the Corvette's every-day supercar status grows when you learn the EPA estimates for an '08 manual-tranny version are an impressive 16 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

All new for 2008: An all-new LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque is standard for the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette coupe and convertible. Interior trim is updated including a wrapped center trim plate with Cyber pattern brushed aluminum accents and an available custom Leather-Wrapped Interior Package. Shift effort for the 6-speed manual transmission is improved and shift times are quicker for the paddle-shift 6-speed automatic. Standard wheels are a new split-spoke cast aluminum design and Competition Gray finish is optional. New exterior colors are Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat and Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat.

The 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640:Derived from the Italian description of the engine position—longitudinale posteriore—the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is powered by a 640-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 engine.

New for 2007:The 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is latest version of the Murcielago, powered by a new 640-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 engine with permanent all-wheel drive, based on Lamborghini's VT (Viscous Traction) System which distributes the torque front to rear without the use of electronic controls. A new 6-speed transmission and stronger rear differential are added and an e-gear transmission that automatically operates the clutch and changes gears is available as an option. The restyled body features new front and rear bumpers incorporate sharp, crisp lines with larger air intakes and a more angular splitter at the front and a new rear diffuser that includes a single large center exhaust outlet. The rear lights are a new design with a single piece lens and individual lights behind. The Murcielago LP640 is offered as a coupe and a roadster, and the roadster receives the same updates as the coupe while retaining the steeply raked windshield, tapered side windows and radical rear buttresses that flow into the rear fenders. The interior continues the asymmetrical design oriented towards the driver and the instrument panel has been redesigned with new graphics.

New for 2008: After making its debut one year ago, the 2008 Saturn Sky adds more standard equipment to the roadster and a new torque beam on all manual transmissions to reduce noise, vibration and harshness. Equipped as standard are StabiliTrack electronic stability control, limited-slip differential, a driver’s seat power height adjuster, a tire-pressure-monitoring system, AM/FM stereo with CD player and MP3 playback, XM Satellite Radio (48 contiguous U.S. states only) and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

2007 Nissan 350Z-



2007 Nissan 35oZ: The 350Z is Nissan’s modern recreation of the legendary Z-car, with styling cues from the original 240Z of the 1970s. New for 2007: The 2007 Nissan 350Z receives the next-generation VQ35HR engine that produces 306 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque and features a twin air intake system that helps reduce airflow resistance and increases horsepower. Also new is the front hood design, gray-colored convertible top replaces the previous blue top, three new exterior colors, front-seat mounted side-impact supplemental airbags on the Roadster and a Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone system.

2007 Porsche 911: The iconic rear-engine sports car, the 911 has managed to retain its trademark silhouette since its inception over 40 years ago. Curb weights have climbed with content over the years (currently 3,495 - 3,572 pounds), but so has engine output. The range-topping 911 Turbo cranks out 480 horsepower from its twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-Six. With a nearly prescient all-wheel-drive system, the Turbo can lunge to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and hit 100 mph in 8.4 seconds using the standard 6-speed manual transmission. Opt for the 5-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and acceleration times improve to 3.4 and 7.8 seconds.

New for 2007: The 2007 Porsche 911 adds the all-new 911 Turbo and GT3 to its lineup. Highlighted by a 415-horsepower 3.6-liter boxer six-cylinder engine, the GT3 is mated to a six-speed manual with 0 to 62 mph time of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph. Riding on standard 19-inch light-alloy “GT3 Design” wheels, the GT3 comes standard with on-demand Traction Control that’s derived from the Carrera GT. The 911 Turbo is powered by a 480-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter boxer engine producing 460 lb-ft of torque. With a redesigned electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system, the 911 Turbo can be had with a six-speed manual or the optional Tiptronic S which can accelerate quicker the manual, a first for Porsche. Both the GT3 and 911 Turbo is fitted with the Porsche Active Suspension Management that offers setup modes of Normal and Sports. The Sports mode is a firmer setup and features a Sport button that can boost torque and engine power. The optional Sports Chrono Package in the 911 Turbo features the Sports button that temporarily boosts turbocharger pressure for up to 10 seconds by 2.9 psi, increasing torque by 45 lb-ft.

2008 Ford Shelby GT500-



2008 Ford Shelby GT500: The most muscular of Mustangs, the GT500 is motivated by a supercharged 500-horsepower V8, which shares components with the discontinued Ford GT. It is easily the lowest cost 500-horsepower car on the road today, with an MSRP just shy of $42,000. That kind of power will get you from 0 to 60 mph in 4.91 seconds, 0 to 100 mph in 10.3 seconds and delivers a quarter-mile time of 12.99 seconds at 117.70 mph. A member of the 500-horsepower club, the GT500 can be had as a coupe or a convertible.

New for 2008: After making its debut for 2007, the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500 adds ambient interior lighting as an optional feature, optional HID headlights, front driver-and passenger-seat side airbags and Vapor Metallic as a new color.

2008 Mazda MX-5 Miata: Introduced in the summer of 1989 as a 1990 model, the MX-5's quick steering, go-kart-like handling and sporty styling have helped the Miata land a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the best-selling two-seater sports car in the world. 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo-



2007 Lamborghini Gallardo: The Gallardo is Lamborghini’s two-seat mid-engine V10-powered sports car that joined the Lamborghini line as a 2004 model and in just two years became the top-selling Lamborghini model of all time. Gallardo production topped the 3000 mark in November 2005, surpassing the Lamborghini Diablo as the most produced Lamborghini model of which a total of 2903 were produced over a ten year period.
New for 2007: The 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo adds the Superleggera, a lighter and more powerful version that boasts 530 horsepower and will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. The e-gear transmission is standard which allows the driver either fully automatic or manual shifting with shift paddles located behind the steering wheel. The engine cover for the Superleggera is made of carbon fiber and transparent polycarbonate which reduces weight and exposes 5.0-liter V10 engine. Inside the Superleggera features carbon-fiber sport seats covered in Alcantara and four exterior colors are offered: Midas Yellow, Borealis Orange, Telesto Gray and Noctis Black.
